The Space

The performance space at the U.S. Mint is state of the art. Flexible enough to accomodate a wide variety of music, the room is acoustically treated to sound true whether you are presenting a Solo Artist or a full fledged Big Band. It sports a Meyer Sound system that makes the room sing. The front of house board provides 48 channels of quality mic-preamplifiers and equalization. Stage monitoring has the capability for four separate mixes through micro-wedge speakers. The microphone complement is ample for any performance.
In-house backline includes a Steinway Essex 5’8″ grand piano, a Hammond B-3 with Leslie Cabinet, Gretch four piece drumkit with cymbals and highhat by Zildjian, Fender Twin guitar amp, SWR combo bass amp, as well as a set of conga’s!
The space is rigged with an eqaully flexible lighting system. 100 LED fixtures provide full spectrum color choice and spotlighting highlights the room with 35 movable fixtures. The look of the room can be changed with ease and all looks are programmed to memory for quick access. With this lighting setup, the show will look as good as it sounds.
We aim to host the best performances in New Orleans. Our facility is capable of amazing experiences. These experiences are extended from artist, to visitor, to web-patron. We hope you can be a part of The Performance Space at the U.S. Mint, New Orleans.
